The Hornets hockey team completed their sweep of Mohawk Valley on Wednesday night as they skated to a 7-1 victory. The first period ended with both teams tied at 1. The Hornets only 1st period goal was scored by Austin Bradish with assists going to Cory Della Stua and Austin Campbell. The Hornets started rolling in the second period with Bradish scoring his second of the game assisted by Della Stua and Campbell. Matt Evans scored the second goal of the period off a pass from Zach Carapellatti. Bradish would strike again this time on the power play for his third of the game completing the hat trick on a pass from Della Stua. The fifth Hornet goal was scored by Austin Campbell with assists going to Della Stua and Andrew Meeker. The Hornets would strike again on the power play this time it was Cory Della Stua scoring the fifth goal of the period and sixth of the game with assists going to Campbell and Bradish. Andrew Meeker scored the only goal of the third period on the power play assisted by Adam Sokol. Bradish would finish with 3 goals and 1 assist, Della Stua finished with 1 goal and 4 assists and Campbell finished with 1 goal and 3 assists. The Hornets power play went 3 for 6 on the night while Owen Miller earned his 5th win of the season stopping 19 of 20 Mohawk shots .
The Hornets improve to 13-6 on the season and face Region III rival Erie on Saturday at the SUNY Broome Ice Center.
