Hornets Fall To Western Division Leaders

The Hornets played a doubleheader with Western Division leading Erie CC at Williamsville, NY on Thursday and  lost game one 10-0 in 5 innings and lost game two 3-1. 

In game one the Hornets only managed one hit, a lone single from Troy Scales in the fifth inning. The Hornets committed four errors in the game.
 
Game two saw more struggling from the Hornets hitting wise, only being able to muster three hits. Joseph Hamdan drove in Joe Klenchik in the second to score the only run for the Hornets. Klenchik, Scales and Adam Kettle each collected a hit in the game. Cuyler Kochin pitched a complete game for the Hornets, allowing two earned runs and striking out five while taking his first loss for the Hornets.
The Kats are in first place with a record of 13-1. Broome's record is now 1-13 overall and 1-13 in Region III. Broome's next game is Saturday April 25th at 1:00 p.m. against Jamestown CC at Hornet Field.
