Baseball Splits Again
The SUNY Broome Hornets split a doubleheader with Jamestown CC at Diethrick Park in Jamestown today. The Hornets lost the first game 10-7 and won the second game 5-2.
Game one saw the Hornets jump out to an early two run lead on RBI's from Henry Pellicciotti and Troy Scales. The Hornets mounted a come down 9-3 in the fifth where they scored four runs. RBI's from Harrison Lourens, Matt DePalmo and Rachid Martie capped the big inning. Martie finished with three hits while Scales also added a multi-hit game.
Game two once again found the Hornets jump out to an early lead. The Hornets scored four runs in the third inning as Pellicciotti drove in a run on a fielders choice, while Adam Kettle and Joe Hamdan added RBI singles. Scales also added an insurance run in the seventh inning with an RBI double, scoring Pellicciotti. DePalmo threw a complete game allowing two earned runs and striking out seven. DePalmo, Pellicciotti, Scales and Kettle all had multi-hit games for the Hornets. 
Broome's record is now 3-15 overall and 3-15 in Region III. Broome's next game is Tuesday  April 28th at 4:00 p.m. against Onondaga CC in Syracuse, NY.
