Baseball Splits In Corning

The baseball team split in Corning on Thursday against the Red Barons, winning game one 8-7 and losing game two 8-4. In game one Broome was able to pick up the win behind the hitting of Christopher Sweeney and Cuyler Kochin, both players had 3 hits apiece for the visitors enroute to the first win of the year. Christopher Puzakulics picked up the first win of the year for the Hornets. 

In game two Sweeney was the only player to have more than one hit for Broome. Sean Lustig took the loss for the Hornets, giving up 6 hits and 7 runs in 2 2/3 innings of work. 

Broome travels to Syracuse on Saturday for a doubleheader against Onondaga CC with the first pitch scheduled to be thrown at noon.
