Hornets Fall In Dryden

The baseball team lost both their games on Wednesday against Tompkins Cortland CC, losing game one 7-4 and game two 9-8. Cameron Gregory lasted just four innings, he walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs. In the top of the first, the Hornets grabbed the early lead off a single by Gabriel Kirindongo to bring home Christopher Sweeney to start the inning off. The Panthers answered with two runs of their own to take a 2-1 lead after one. TC3 plated three runs in the fifth to take the lead for good. 

Broome looked to be in control, up by eight runs in the sixth inning, but Tompkins Cortland came back to grab the 9-8 win. The top of the second saw the Hornets take an early lead on an RBI double by Richie Bittles that scored Zach Lindow and an RBI single by Quixuano Mills that plated Bittles. The Panthers big inning came in the sixth when they scored seven runs.
