Baseball Struggles Against Erie

Baseball continued to struggle against Erie CC, losing both home and away doubleheaders. On Wednesday the Hornets dropped game one in Buffalo to the Kats, 12-7 in seven innings and lost game two 12-2 in six innings.

Broome returned home to Hornet Field on Thursday to face Erie for the second time in as many days with the end result the same as Wednesday. Both games went to the Kats with game two going into the tenth inning. In the opener, the host team could manage just one run in seven innings and fell 6-1. Game two saw Erie tie it up at 3-3 in the seventh to send the game into extra innings. The score remained tied until the Kats brought two runners across the plate in the top of the tenth for the final 5-3 final.
