Baseball Falls In Syracuse

The baseball team fell to Onondaga CC 13-4 in their opening game, and 9-3 in the second game of the doubleheader played on Sunday afternoon in Syracuse. The Hornets fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-4 loss to the Lazers on Sunday. Max Telfer (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) took the loss for Broome, he went three innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out two.  Trevor Stiles (Deposit, NY/Deposit) went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead visitors in hits.

Game two resulted in another tough blow from the Lazers, nothing came easy for the Hornets, as they fell 9-3.  Kyle Balmer (Maine, NY/Maine-Endwell) took the loss, he went three and a third innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out four.  Broome totaled eight hits in the game.  Balmer, Telfer and Justin Perez (Vestal, NY/Vestal) each collected multiple hits.
