Baseball fell behind early in both games of their doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon against Jamestown CC and couldn't catch up, dropping game one 11-3 and game two 10-6.
Game one at Hornet Field saw the Jayhawks get on the board early and were never threatened. Jamestown picked up twelve hits in the game, three of them off the bat of Wyatt Hennessy, two of those going yard and the other a double. Broome put up five hits, one each from Jacob Garey, Tyler Kopolow, Mitchell Taylor, Justin Fleming and Jamie McWherter. Jack Symons took the loss for Broome, the righthander allowed eleven hits and eight runs over five innings, striking out three.
Broome, again, fell behind early in the second game and couldn't come back in the loss to Jamestown. Despite the loss, the Hornets did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Symons, Garey and Kopolow each had multiple hits in the contest led by Kopolow with three, all doubles. Taylor, Fleming, Tanner Russin, Nate Bennett and Ethan Pastrick had one hit apiece in the nightcap.
