Men's Basketball Team Picks Up 3rd Win

The Hornets picked up another win on Sunday over Fulton-Montgomery CC 101-82 in their second contest in as many days. The game was close early on before the home team opened things up with the help of reserves Shameek Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Boys & Girls) with 14 points, 4 blocks and Devin Mattioli (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) adding 13 points, 4 assists. The first half lead got to as large as 22, but the Raiders closed with a run to get within 13 at halftime 48-35. The Hornets continued their high scoring efforts in the second half with six players finishing in double figures. William Mason (Rochester, NY/James Monroe) scored a team high 18, Chris Smith (Queens, NY/Newtown) finished with 16 points including 10-11 from the charity stripe and 5 assists, James Saunders (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) scored 16 points and added a team high 8 rebounds and Dashown Nelson (Brooklyn, NY/HS of Telecommunication Arts & Technology) had 10 points to go along with 6 rebounds.

Broome will face SUNY ESF this Tuesday in the Baldwin Gym at 7:00 P.M. in a non-conference game.
