The men's basketball team fell to Herkimer College 85-77 Saturday afternoon in Herkimer. The game featured two of the top three teams in Region III, the Generals at #1 and the Hornets at #3. Trailing at the half by 8 points, 41-33, Broome battled in the second half but couldn't quite break that 8 point lead held by Herkimer.

Adolphus Butts (Harlem, NY/James Hubert Blake) had 17 points including three 3-pointers, James Saunders (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) added his usual grind-it-out scoring with 17 points, Shameek Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Boys & Girls) chipped in with 12 points, 9 boards and 3 blocks and Chris Smith (Queens, NY/Newtown) had 10 points.
