Men Fall Short In Auburn

Men's basketball dropped their second straight road MSAC contest Thursday night, this time at Cayuga CC by a score of 68-66. The first half was all Spartans as they held a 35-22 halftime lead.  But Broome would not roll over as they fought back early in the second half to cut the lead to 4.  Logan Vibbard (Edmeston, NY/Edmeston Central) ignited the Hornets run in his second start of the season. Broome executed down the stretch and gave themselves a last shot to win the game but the attempt fell short. Vibbard finished the game with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Also in double figures for the Hornets were Chris Smith (Queens, NY/Newtown) with 18 points, 6 rebounds and James Saunders (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) with 18 points and 7 boards.

Broome (8-6;1-3) will host Corning CC (10-6;2-3) this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Baldwin Gymnasium.
