Men Run Away With Road Game

The Men's basketball team opened up their 2016-17 season with a Region III road win against the Royals of Schenectady County CC 111-93.

Broome opened up an early first half lead by breaking down the Royals full court pressure and scoring early in transition. Schenectady continued to press and the Hornets continued to score, putting up 63 first half points to the Royals 43. Schenectady made a run to begin the second half but the lead never dropped below double digits.

Anthony McNeil led a balanced Hornets scoring effort with 31 points. He also added 11 rebounds and was 8 for 13 from the free throw line. Sean Webb added 19 points with 5 assists and 3 steals. Brady Harrington and Corey Bryant also finished in double figures with 11 each.

Harrington, Marc Latini, and Adolphus Butts each finished with 4 assists, showing the Hornets willingness to share the ball. Butts added 9 points as well.
