The Hornets dropped an MSAC game on the road Monday night to Jefferson CC, 88-84. The first 27 minutes of the game was all Cannoneers, as they held a 20 point lead with just under 13 minutes remaining, 66-46. Up to this point, Broome showed little fight after starting out down 15-4 in the first six minutes. They would cut the first half lead to 5, 22-17 at the nine minute mark, but Jefferson would close out the half strong, to hold their largest lead of the game, 45-28, at the halftime buzzer.

It was at the 13 minute mark of the second half when the basket began to open up for the Hornets. Over the next eight minutes they would outscore Jefferson 29-7, and take their first lead of the game 75-73. However this would be Broome's only lead of the game as The Cannoneers would close it out with timely baskets and made free throws.

The second half surge was led by Anthony McNeil, who scored 23 of his game high 34 points. He also added 15 rebounds on the night. Sean Webb would contribute 18 points, with 15 of those coming in the second half. Adolphus Butts pitched in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Broome takes to the road again on Wednesday night to face Onondaga CC in another MSAC contest at 8:00 p.m.
