Hornets Fall In Syracuse

The Hornet's traveled to Onondaga CC on Wednesday night and were dealt an MSAC loss to a hot shooting Lazers' team, 110-65. Broome had a difficult task in keeping up with an OCC squad that shot 66% from the floor for the game. After falling in an 11-2 hole, the Hornets held solid and pulled back within 2 at the ten minute mark, 23-21. With just under 8 minutes remaining, Broome kept it close, 27-23, before things started to slip, as the Lazers would outscore Broome 26-9 to close the half with a 53-32 lead.

SUNY Broome's scoring efforts were led by Anthony McNeil with 22 points on 7-15 shooting from the field, including 2-4 from the arc, and also 6-8 from the free throw line. Lucas Iacobucci scored 12 points and Raheim Grant added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Adolphus Butts contributed 8 points and 3 assists in limited minutes due to foul trouble.

The Hornets are on the road once again at Cayuga CC on Saturday with the tip-off for this MSAC match-up is at 3:00 p.m.
