The Hornets picked up an MSAC victory on the road Saturday, beating Cayuga CC, in Auburn 84-75. Broome got off to a good start and took an 11-3 lead in the first four minutes. Cayuga responded and took a lead of their own which stretched to 25-21 with five minutes remaining in the half. This would be the Spartans only lead. Broome finished the half on a 12-0 run to take a 33-25 lead into the locker room at the half.

In the second half, Cayuga would not let the game slip away, as they pulled within 3 by the 16 minute mark. But the Hornets played solid on both ends, and got the lead up to double digits, where it remained for most of the half.

Broome got a large contribution from Brady Harrington who stepped into the starting lineup, and led the team in scoring on the night with 23 points on 6-12 shooting with three 3s, and 8-10 from the free throw line. Anthony McNeil chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Adolphus Butts continued his all around play with 14 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and 3 steals. Raheim Grant also finished in double figures with 11 points to go along with 6 rebounds and Matt Bowman added 6 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals to his 8 point total.

Broome returns to their home floor on Wednesday to face Corning CC in an MSAC contest at 8:00 p.m.
