The Hornets dropped two Region III games on the road, a 97-88 loss at North Country CC on Saturday, and an 81-62 defeat at Clinton CC Sunday.

On Saturday, Broome would fell behind early 15-4 after 4 minutes of play, eventually giving up 55 points at the half. The halftime deficit would be 10 after Derrick Simpson knocked down a last second 3-pointer to make it 55-45.  Simpson finished the half with 17 points, to keep the Hornets in the game.  In the second half Broome would forge a comeback, holding the Saints to only 15 points in the first 9 minutes, while scoring 25 of their own to tie the game at 71 on a Reginald Vaughan 3-ponter.  The next possession would result in a steal by Simpson who converted a layup on the other end to give the Hornets their first lead.  Broome, however, could not hold the lead and the Saints made foul shots down the stretch to earn the 97-88 victory.  Simpson led 5 double-figure Hornets scorers with a collegiate high 23 points to go along with 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Vaughan finished with 17 points, on three 3-pointers, and another perfect night from the free throw line, 2-2.  Charles Jackson gave an all around effort with a double-double, 13 points and 10 boards, also adding 5 assists of his own. David Johnson also contributed a points-rebounds double-double with 11 and 11.  Cameron Snow scored 12 points and dished out 4 assists.

On Sunday, against Clinton CC, Broome would show a strong start, building a 31-19 lead after 14 minutes.  Foul trouble would eventually halt the Hornets momentum, and the Cougars would take a 1 point lead into the half 34-33.  Broome would never regain that early momentum, as they would be outscored in the second half 47-29, resulting in a 81-62 final.  The Hornets were led in scoring by Vaughan with 14 points and 3 rebounds, Jackson added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Snow added 10 points.
