Hornets Fall To Region III's Top Ranked Team

The men's basketball team fell to Herkimer College, 98-48, on Saturday in the Baldwin Gym.  The Generals, who sit at the top of Region III with an 8-1 record, were never threatened in the game by the Hornets.  Broome went into the half down by 19 points and were outscored by 31 points in the second half.  Six players hit the double digit mark for Herkimer, led by Darius Hines' 22 points, while Broome had just one player hit that mark, Patrick Buchinsky dropped 11 points.  Reginald Vaughan had 9 points and 2 assists, and Charles Jackson, Derrick Simpson and David Johnson each had 6 points.  

The Hornets are off Sunday but are right back at it Monday night with a 7:00 P.M. Region III contest on the road against Fulton-Montgomery CC.
