Nation's 6th Ranked Team Tops Broome

The NJCAA's 6th ranked team, Mohawk Valley CC, defeated SUNY Broome in the Baldwin Gym Wednesday evening in a Region III game by a score of 109-65.  The Hornets have now lost six straight games and fall to 1-10 while the Hawks, winners of eight straight games,  improve to 10-1.  
 
The Hornets were paced by lone sophomore Reginald Vaughan with 16 points and 4 assists.  David Johnson chipped in with 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Patrick Buchinsky grabbed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Justin Steed put in a game high 22 points for the Hawks in the lopsided win. 
 
Broome hits the road this weekend to face SUNY Adirondack on Saturday for a 1:00 P.M. tip-off.
