The men's basketball team secured it's first Region III win of the season, defeating SUNY Adirondack on the road Saturday afternoon, 69-67.  The Hornets were in control for the majority of the contest, holding a lead for almost the whole game before two Timberwolves' free throws tied it up with 20 seconds remaining, 67-67.  With the time ticking away, Broome looked to their only returning player, and leading scorer, Reginald Vaughan to close it out.  Vaughan delivered with just seconds remaining via a floater in the lane after taking his defender one on one.

Broome turned in a dominant performance on the glass which saw three players grab 10 or more rebounds.  Leading the offense was Cameron Snow, connecting on seven of his twelve 3-pointers enroute to a collegiate high 27 points. His seven 3-pointers were also a collegiate best.  Vaughan was active everywhere, finishing with a double-double, 14 points and 10 boards, also adding 5 assists and 2 steals.  Another double-double was secured by Charles Jackson with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  He also got it done on the defensive end with 2 steals and 2 blocks.  Joining Vaughan and Jackson with double digit rebounds was David Johnson with 11. Ricardo Fernandez was active as well adding 6 boards and 4 assists.

Broome wraps up their semester this week, traveling to Bethlahem, PA for a non-regional contest against Northampton CC on Thursday night with the tip-off scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
