Broome dropped their second straight MSAC contest on Saturday afternoon against Tompkins Cortland CC in Dryden, 72-54.  The Hornets could not find their shooting touch against the Panthers but their defense kept them close in the first half, holding TC3 to 31 points, and went into halftime only down by three, 31-28.

The second half was much the same on the offensive end of the floor for the Hornets as their shooting continued to struggle, but the Panthers offense proved to be much more efficient.  TC3 outscored Broome 41-26 during the final 20 minutes on their way to the 18 point victory.

Broome was led in scoring by Reginald Vaughan, who finished with 18 points. He also added 7 steals, 4 assists and 4 rebounds to his stat line.  Also in double figures on the afternoon was Quartus Steika with 11, to go along with 6 boards.  Patrick Buchinsky had his second straight double-digit rebounding night with 10.

The Hornets are back in action this Tuesday in the Baldwin Gymnasium against the Lazers from Onondaga CC, scheduled for a 7:30 P.M. tip.
