Drew Peterson had two goals and an assist, Alex Toppin had a goal and an assist and MJ Maerkl added a goal for the Hornets on Saturday afternoon at the BCC Ice Center in a season opening loss to the LeMoyne College Club team.

At the end of the second period the score was three all before LeMoyne's Adam Reask netted the game winner with 14:36 remaining. Scott Boyd had 29 saves in goal for Broome and Ryan Bonk had 36 saves for the visitors.

The Hornets will face off against Region III opponent Mohawk Valley this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the BCC Ice Center.
