Mike Sniffen found the back of the net in overtime to lift Broome past Erie CC 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Buffalo. Sniffen's goal came courtesy of an assist from Brian Long. The Hornets tied the match in the second period on a power play goal from MJ Maerkl assisted by Drew Peterson and Alex Toppin.

Joakim Axen stopped 44 of 45 shots for the Hornets (3-1) Nic Pagano had 26 saves in goal for the Kats.

Broome returns home Thursday evening to host Onondaga CC Club at 7:05 p.m.
