The SUNY Broome hockey team faced off against Region III rival Hudson Valley CC and came out on the short end Wednesday night falling to the Vikings 4-3 at the Ice Center. The Hornets offense was provided by Wayne Buerkle (McGraw/Cortland, NY) with one goal and one assist and Mat Culcasi (Pennfoster/Chesapeake, VA) with two goals and an assist. Cory Della Stua (Rush-Henrietta/Pittsford, NY) chipped in with two assists. Dustin Stevens (Kasson-Mantorville/Kasson, MN) faced 59 shots in the game and made 55 saves.
The Hornets face Monroe CC this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the SUNY Broome Ice Center.
