Hockey Team Returns To The Ice After Break With A Home Win

The SUNY Broome hornets defeated the Mohawk Valley Hawks 9-4 on Wednesday night in the SUNY Broome Ice Center.  Austin Head (Kasson-Mantorville/Kasson, MN) scored three goals and had two assists, including the game winner in his first game as a Hornet.  The other Hornet's offense was provided by Tyler Zweig (Chenango Forks/Binghamton, NY) two goals, Trevor Barney (Vestal/Vestal NY), Karel Simek (Business Academy/Czech Republic), and David Zalayet (New Hyde Park/Long Island, NY) each had one goal and one assist.  Brian Cole (Susquehanna Valley/Conklin, NY) had one goal and Michael Ferranti (Chenango Valley/Binghamton, NY) had two assists.  Dylan Snyder (Arlee/Arlee, MT) stopped 37 of the 41 shots he faced and improved his record to 3-3. 

The Hornets host County College of Morris this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
