The SUNY Broome hockey team defeated County College of Morris on Saturday 3-2 at home. David Zalayet (New Hyde Park/Long Island, NY) scored the game winning goal on the power play in the third period.  Zalayet finished the game with a goal and an assist.  Mikael Ferranti (Chenango Valley/Binghamton, NY) opened up the Hornet scoring in the second period with assists going to Austin Head (Kasson, MN), and Nick Frati (Churchville-Chili/Churchville, NY).   Corey Della Stua (Rush-Henrietta/Pittsford, NY) scored a power play goal and added an assist finishing the game with two points.  Dustin Stevens (Kasson-Mantorville/Kasson, MN) faced 41 shots during the game, stopping 39 of t hem.  Stevens improved his record to  4-2, and the Hornets improved to 7-5 on the season.  

The Hornets face Region III rival Mohawk Valley CC on Monday in Utica.
