The Hornets traveled to Utica and defeated the Mohawk Valley CC Hawks 9-2 on Monday night in a Region III game. Dylan Snyder (Arlee/Arlee, MT) was solid in goal for the Hornets stopping 36 of the 38 shots he faced. Cory Della Stua (Rush-Henrietta/Pittsford, NY) scored a hat trick and had an assist.  Two of the three goals he scored were short handed.  Michael Ferranti (ChenangoValley/Binghamton, NY), and Tyler Zweig (Chenango Forks/Binghamton, NY) each had two goals and one assist. Brian Cole (Susquehanna Valley/Conklin, NY) added two goals including the game winner.   Austin Head (Kasson-Mantorville/Kasson, MN) added two assists in the victory.  

The Hornets improve to 8-5 and face off against Hudson Valley in Troy, NY on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
