Hockey Team Rebounds With Road Win

The Hornets faced off against the Elmira College JV team on Sunday and defeated them 8-1. Broome took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Devin Laird (Farmersville, NY/Pioneer) assisted by Alex Whitehair (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Adam Sokol (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) and Geno DeAngelo (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) on a power play with assists going to Austin Bradish (West Chazy, NY/Beekmantown) and Austin Campbell (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley).  Broome would score twice in the second period, the first by Sokol with assists going to Bradish and Cameron Dunn (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton). Dunn scored the second goal of the period with assists going to Bradish and Matthew Evans (Binghamton, NY/Windsor). The third period saw four goals, one each from Ryan Pretino (Penfield, NY/Penfield), Ruslan Moskvitin (Toronto, CAN/Northview Heights), Zachary Carapellatti (Portville, NY/Portville) and Dylan Konecny (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) with his first career goal. Patrick Massey (Chicago, IL/Penfield) earned his first career win stopping 28 shots.

The Hornets (4-3) will host the Elmira College JV team this Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. in the SUNY Broome Ice Center.
