Hockey Team Wins 4th Straight

The Hornets faced off against Region III rival Mohawk Valley CC on Wednesday Night and defeated the Hawks 4-1. The Hornets scored twice in the first period. Austin Campbell (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) scored the first Broome goal on a power play with assists going to Kyle Waronker (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparall) and Cameron Dunn (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton).  Ryan Pretino (Penfield, NY/Penfield) scored the second goal of the period with assists going to Campbell and Josh Maus (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks). 

The Hornets added two more goals in the second period, the first by Geno DeAngelo (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) on an unassisted rush up the ice beating three Mohawk defenders. Broome scored on another power play late in the second, this time it was Zachary Carapellatti (Portville, NY/Portville) with assists going to Campbell and Pretino. Owen Miller (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) made 32 saves in net for the Hornets earning his 4th win of the season. 

Up next for Broome (7-3) is another home contest this Saturday at 3:00 P.M. against the Kats from Erie CC (7-3). The Kats won the first meeting this year back on October 31st 7-4.
