Hockey Picks Up First Point Of Season

SUNY Broome picked up their first point of the season with a 6-6 tie against the Elmira College JV team at the Ice Center on Wednesday evening. In his first game of the season Ryan Pretino (Penfield, NY) scored twice for Broome, while Richie Bittles (Newburgh, NY) scored the equalizer with just under three minutes to play in the third. It was Bittles second goal in as many games as he extended his point streak to three. Joey Florio and Jordan Robertson led Elmira's offense with two goals two goals apiece.  Austen Strauss (Aurora, CO) turned aside 52 shots to preserve the tie for the Hornets.

SUNY Broome returns to action Wednesday, November 30, when they host the visiting Mohawk Valley Hawks at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
