Welcome back everyone! Spring Semester doesn't start until the 30th, but the boys are back and ready to get going. The Hornets will look to right the ship as they will try to end the 12 game winless streak. The end of the season is a rapid fire and will take under a month to finish out so come on out and support your Broome Hornets!
The Hornets open up Thursday against the Hudson Valley Vikings who will be coming in after a 2-game stint at Harborcenter, which resulted in 3-1 victories for each side. The Hornets will have to find a way to compete with a team who, with an 5-10-1 record, has been among the best in the division.
On Saturday, the Hornets take to the bus and head up to Buffalo to battle the division leading Erie Kats at Harborcenter at 4:00 p.m. The Hornets have struggled mightily against the Kats, despite closing the gap a bit only dropping the last contest 6-3. The Hornets will have to find a way to get more shots against the Kats netminders and bury a few more to get the W.
These two games open up what the Hornets will hope to make a successful 2017, will be broadcast live on mixlr.com. The NJCAA National Championship Tournament is coming soon and we will have more details for you on that, as it gets closer. Until then welcome back and Go Hornets Go!
