Men's Lacrosse Team Earns Road Win In Virginia

Harrison Gardiner (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) won the opening face off and Michael Ferranti (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) opened the scoring 41 seconds into the game as SUNY Broome beat Northern Virginia CC 17-10 Sunday afternoon in Nokesville, VA. Midfielder  Ferranti finished with a team high 4 goals and 4 assists. Attackmen Brandon Dutcher (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) and Michael Doll (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) added 4 goals, 1 assist and 2 goals, 5 assists respectively. The defense composed of Thor Holm (Arlington, VA/Wakefield), Salen Turkovic (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) and Zachary Schenck (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) held the NOVA attack down most of the game. Goalie Nicholas Figuerado (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) made 12 saves in the win.

The Hornets improve to 1-1 and travel to Watertown, NY to take on Jefferson CC this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
