The lacrosse team defeated Mercyhurst North East 18-6 on Sunday at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton for their first win of the 2017 season. Broome led 2-1 after the first quarter and followed that up with a decisive 9-0 second quarter. Joshua Bradford led the Hornets with 4 goals and, Alex Sprague-Getsy, Brendon Gitchell, Nicholas Pert and Zachary Spear had 3 goals apiece. Sprague-Getsy led the team in assists with six. Zachary House and John Morton combined for 11 saves, 9 by House and 2 by Morton.
Broome will go back on the road again this Wednesday for a Region III contest against the Herkimer Generals in Herkimer, NY.
