Lacrosse Team Drops Home Game Late

Broome fell to Finger Lakes CC 13-12 on Sunday afternoon in a closely contested match played at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium. The Lakers got out to an early 4-1 lead after one quarter before the Hornets got going and eventually tied it up at the end of the third, 11-11. In the fourth quarter Broome took a lead but couldn't hang on as Finger Lakes netted the final two goals of the match for the win.

Broome was led by captain Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) who started the second quarter rally with 4 straight goals and finished with a game high 6 goals and 2 assists. Alex Sprague-Getsy (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) tallied 3 goals and an assist, Nicholas Pert (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) added 2 goals, and Matthew Slezak (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) chipped in with a goal. Zachary House (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) allowed 13 goals on the 25 shots he faced.

The Hornets travel up I81 on Wednesday for a lacrosse match against Onondaga CC beginning at 4:00 P.M.
