Lacrosse Falls To NJCAA's 2nd Ranked Team

The men's lacrosse team fell to Genesee CC, currently the NJCAA's 2nd ranked team, in Batavia, NY by a score of 28-4. Genesse got out to an 8-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Cougars (7-2) are the returning NJCAA Division III National Champions.

Nicholas Pert (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley), Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City), Jordan Bideaux (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) and Christopher Bittles (Newburg, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) each scored for the Hornets (2-6). Zachary House (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) split keeper duties with John Morton (Middle Island, NY/Longwood). House faced 34 shots on goal and had 11 saves while Morton faced 6 shots and made 1 save.

After facing the nation's top ranked team, Onondaga, and the nation's second best, Genesee back-to-back on the road, the Hornets will return to the friendly confines of Alumni Field on Saturday for a game against the County College of Morris, scheduled to start at 1:00 P.M.
