The men's lacrosse team fell to Hudson Valley CC 12-6 at Alumni Field on Monday afternoon. Prior to the game Broome recognized second year players, Brandon Coletti (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott, Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) and Reed Grunder (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley). The Hornets went into halftime with a one goal deficit, 4-3. The second half started out with both teams playing even before the Vikings pulled away with 8 goals to secure the win.
Nicholas Pert (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) led Broome with 2 goals in the loss. Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City), Reed Grunder (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley), Matthew Slezak (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) and Jordan Bideaux (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) each had a goal. Alex Sprague-Getsy (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) contributed with 2 assists. Zachary House (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) gave up 12 goals on the 25 shots he faced.
Broome falls to 2-7 on the season with their final game Wednesday in Watertown against Jefferson CC beginning at 8:00 P.M..
