Lacrosse Ends Season On A High Note

The Hornets traveled to Watertown, NY Wednesday evening for their last game of the season and came home with a 15-14 win against Jefferson CC. The game, played at General George Brown stadium under the lights, saw the Hornets' lead start to slip away in the fourth quarter. The visitors led the Cannoneers after three quarters, 10-6 before Jefferson's comeback bid in the fourth fell just short despite their 8 goal effort.

Jordan Bideaux (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) had the big night for Broome, netting 6 balls and assisting on 2 other goals. Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) and Alex Sprague-Getsy (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) had 3 goals apiece, Brendon Gitchell (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton)chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist, and Nicholas Pert (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley)  rounded out the scoring with 2 goals. Zachary House (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) stopped 13 of the 27 shots he faced in net.

SUNY Broome ends the 2017 season with a record of 3-7.
