The SUNY Broome Hornets took on the Herkimer College Generals in their 11th game of the campaign today in Herkimer, NY and fell 2-0. The Generals scored early into the first half when a penalty kick was called against the Hornets for a takedown in the box. Tyler Elliott (Vestal, NY/Vestal) made the first save on the initial stop but couldn't stop the rebound which was tucked home by Femi Kaffo. A second goal was scored by the Generals when Moulid Somow received a pass from Maans Sorensen, who then proceeded to score a brilliant strike to make it 2-0. It was a hard fought contest between both sides on a very windy, cold October day in Herkimer. Elliott had 10 saves and Tyler Hinds (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had one save as well. The Generals outshot the visitors 15-1 and edged out the Hornets in corners 3-2.

Broome (6-5;2-3 MSAC) travel to Queensbury, NY this Wednesday for a 4:00 P.M. Region III match against SUNY Adirondack (8-1;7-1 MVC) before returning home for their four remaining contests.
