Men's Soccer Stuns Nation's 8th Ranked Team

The men's soccer team trailed 3-0 at the half in Queensbury today before scoring 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd half and hand SUNY Adirondack their second loss of the year. The Timberwolves looked like the NJCAA's 8th ranked team in the first half. Adirondack scored first in the 33rd minute when Austin Treglia flicked a header into the Hornets net. The Timberwolves scored again in the 34th minute when Austin Treglia took a pass from Sean Maruscsak and put it into the net for the 2-0 lead. They added a 3rd goal in the 43rd minute when Sean Maruscsak lobbed the ball into the Hornets net for a 3-0 lead at the half. The Hornets started their comeback in the 57th minute when Christian Rosics (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) scored off a pass from Alex Brownell (Franklin, NY/Franklin) to make the score 3-1. The Hornets scored again in 75th minute when Mark Lee (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) scored off a pass from Brownell to bring the score 3-2. The Hornets tied the game at 3-3 when Brian Clark (Vestal, NY/Vestal) scored with a header from a Nathan Mansfield (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay-East Fishkill) throw into the box. The Hornets took the lead in the 89th minute when Guido McKenzie (Brooklyn, NY/Clara Barton) took the ball from half and ran with it into the box and scored for the 4-3 lead. 

The Hornets improved to 7-5;2-3 on the season and play again Sunday against Clinton CC at home with a scheduled start time of 2:00 P.M.
