The men's soccer team came out on top, 3-2, against Finger Lakes CC in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday afternoon in Binghamton.  Finger Lakes scored first in the 5th minute off a bobbled bouncing ball in the box. SUNY Broome replied in the 40th minute with a goal from Ajani Spence, assisted by Harris Brkovic. A second goal was then scored by SUNY Broome in the 43rd minute by Christian Rosics off a long pass by Harris Brkovic. Finger Lakes got the 2nd half underway with a tying goal in the 57th minute on a low, hard shot to the corner. SUNY Broome went back on top with a 70th minute free kick goal by Harris Brkovic. Tyler Elliot had 4 saves in net for the Hornets.

SUNY Broome Mens Soccer takes on Dutchess CC this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at home.
