Men's Soccer Team Wins In Saranac Lake

The Hornets traveled to Saranac Lake, NY on Saturday afternoon to face the North County CC Saints and came away with a 4-1 victory. SUNY Broome (6-0;2-0 MSAC) opened up the scoring in the 6th minute when Joe Padden crossed the ball to Harris Brkovic who headed the ball past the keeper. Broome scored again in 15th minute when Christian Rosics passed the ball through the defense to Brkovic who blasted the ball home. The Hornets scored again in the 47th minute when Preston Hill headed a cross from Mark Lee into the net and the 4th goal came in the 70th minute when the Saints (0-6) deflected the ball into their own net off a Michael Rodriguez-Lopez cross. North County added one goal of their own in the 80th minute. Tyler Elliott had 3 saves in the match

Broome returns home this Wednesday for a 2:00 p.m. match against unbeaten Cayuga CC (3-0) in a Mid State Athletic Conference soccer match.
