The Hornets won their fifth match in a row, an 8-0 win against Niagara County CC in a Region III soccer match played at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon. Bennett Miller (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) opened up the scoring six minutes in, assisted by his brother Nicholas Miller (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton). The second goal was an own goal, Matt Furminger (Vestal, NY/Vestal) with the assist. Damian Rutan (Cincinnatus, NY/Cincinnatus) netted his first of the season at the 20th minute and Charlie Desforges (Kent, UK/Swadelands) scored Broome's 4th goal in the 26th minute, Ismar Turkovic (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) assisted on both goals. Virgil Isenia (Willemstad, Curacao/St. Jozef VSBO) put in the final goal of the half.
Desforges added his second in the 48th minute and B. Miller snagged his second a couple minutes later. Tyler Olmstead (Vestal, NY/Vestal) completed the scoring in the 77th minute.
Luke Duncan (Jersey, GB/Highlands) and Gustavo Cichorski-Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Nossa Senhorado Morumbi) split time in goal having 2 and 3 saves respectively. Broome keeps their unblemished record in tact at 5-0 and will face Mohawk Valley on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Alumni Field.
