Soccer Earns Shutout At Alumni Field

The men's soccer team earned their 5th shutout of the year, this one a 3-0 win over visiting Jefferson CC on Wednesday afternoon.  Damian Rutan (Cincinnatus, NY/Cincinnatus) opened the scoring for SUNY Broome six minutes in, and the Hornets never looked back.  Ismar Turkovic (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) added the second of the game, assisted by Noah Kozecke (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) to finish out the scoring for the first half.

Bennett Miller (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) scored the lone goal in the second half to complete the scoring, with the assist coming from Virgil Isenia (Willemstad, Curacao/St. Jozef VSBO).   Luke Duncan (Jersey, GB/Highlands) and Gustavo Cichorski-Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Nossa Senhora do Morumbi) split time in goal with the former earning all 3 saves.

Broome will take their 8-1 record to Herkimer College Friday night at 7:00 P.M. for a match against the NJCAA's second ranked Generals who sport a 9-0 record.
