Men's Soccer Team Pick Up 10th Win

The men's soccer team prevailed in a Region III match played at home on Sunday afternoon, 5-1 against Clinton CC.  Raynier Huggins (Willemstad, Curacao/Marnix College Cas Cora VSBO) opened up the scoring after a great ball from Virgil Isenia (Willemstad, Curacao/St. Jozef VSBO) found him.  Ismar Turkovic (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) added the second goal after he picked up the ball from a Luke Duncan (Jersey, GB/Highlands) kick.  The Hornets took the 2-0 lead into halftime.

Turkovic notched his second goal of the game, coming unassisted to open up the second half.  Pedro Marcano (Barinas, VZ/Nuestra Senora del Pilar) rifled the ball into the top corner for the 4th goal. Christian Kletcha (Greene, NY/Greene) completed the scoring in the last few minutes, with an assist from Kody Curtis (Vestal, NY/Vestal).  Duncan and Gustavo Cichorski-Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Nossa Senhora do Morumbi) split time in goal for the Hornets.

Broome hits the road this Wednesday for another Region III matchup against Hudson Valley CC scheduled to begin at 4:00 P.M.
