The men's soccer team held on to a 1-0 lead against Finger Lakes CC in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday afternoon.  After a hard fought scoreless first half the Hornets were finally able to get on the board in the 60th minute when Bennett Miller scored the game's lone goal, good enough for the win.

The Hornets dominated the Lakers in shots on goal by a 25-5 margin, while the Lakers held a slim 4-3 lead in corner kicks.  Adam Burns picked up the win in goal with 4 saves on the afternoon.

Broome will travel to Herkimer College this weekend for a match against Bunker Hill CC at 4:45 on Saturday, and Ocean County CC at 2:45 on Sunday.
