Broome Earns Road Win

The men's soccer team picked up a hard earned road win against Mohawk Valley CC, 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon in Utica.  Thomas Gilroy opened the scoring for Broome 17 minutes into the match with the assist going to Nazar FedorchukTristan Olmstead scored his first of the match 3 minutes later, Gilroy assisting, to give the Hornets (4-2) a 2-0 halftime lead over the Hawks (2-2). 
 
Mohawk came out firing in the second half but a second Olmstead goal in the 84th minute all but put the match away for the Hornets.  Gilroy figured in all three Hornet goals, two assists to Olmstead and the game's first goal.  Adams Burns finished with 5 saves for his fourth win of the year.  
 
The men are off until next Wednesday when they host Cayuga CC at 4:00 P.M. on Alumni Field.
