Broome played in Canandaigua on Wednesday evening in the last match of the regular season and earned a 3-1 win against Finger Lakes CC. The Hornets opened the scoring in the first half through a penalty kick from captain Jacob Wlostowski for a 1-0 halftime lead.
It took Broome 35 minutes of the second half to double their lead, this time through Jeremias Agustin Ramirez, after a cut across goal by Nazar Fedorchuk. The Lakers managed to pull one back against the run of play with a penalty kick of their own. Fedorchuk then got the Hornets on the board one last time off an assist from Elliot Booth. Adam Burns finished with 3 saves.
Broome now waits to hear their seeding for the Region III Playoffs beginning next Tuesday with time, place and opponent all TBD.
