The men's soccer team fell to Mohawk Valley, 2-1, on Thursday in Utica in the District B semi-final of the 2019 Division III Men's Soccer Championships. The teams met earlier in the year with the Hawks taking that one 2-0. Broome (#7) started the scoring in the 29th minute through Nazar Fedorchuk off of a Jacob Wlostowski free kick for a 1-0 lead that held up for the first half.
Mohawk (#2) came out strong in the second half taking advantage of Broome's miscues. The host team grabbed the winner in the 80th minute for the final 2-1 score. Adam Burns finished the match with 12 saves in goal.
