The Hornets lost their last match of the 2022 campaign in Batavia, 7-1, on Saturday afternoon to Genesee CC. Jacob Waibel, Mateo Lata, Ethan Topencik, Damien Terrell, Eric Arduino, Aidan Birchard, Kollin VanZandt and Jack Dyson all played their final soccer match for the SUNY Broome men's soccer team. The Cougars, currently ranked #4 in the latest NJCAA poll, proved to be too much for the Hornets despite a goal by Yuri Brich in the 34th minute off a through ball from Lata giving Brich a one on one opportunity with the Genesee keeper, keeping the visitors within striking distance in the first half. Eric Yingling posted 11 saves in net for Broome.

The Hornets will not appear in the playoffs for a second straight year and end the season with a 4-9 record.
