Men Receive All-Region And All-American Honors

Two members of the men's track & field team have received recognitions for their performances at the NJCAA Region 3 and National Championships.

Connor Vredenburgh was named NJCAA Region 3 All-Region on Friday, for his performance in the men's discus throw at the NJCAA Region 3 Championships on May 3-4. Vredenburgh took 1st place in the discus with a distance of 35.21 meters.

Over the weekend, Thomas Eccleston became an NJCAA All-American for his 3rd place overall finish in the finals of the men's 110 meter hurdles at the NJCAA National Championships. Eccleston set a school record and personal record by completing the race in 15.59 seconds.

As a team, the men had 12 top-10 finishes in various events at the Region 3 Championships, and over the weekend at Nationals, the team logged six top-10 finishes in total. This led to the team garnering a 4th place finish at Regionals and a 12th place finish at Nationals.
