Men Compete At Region III Championships
The men's track & field team participated in the NJCAA Region III Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

Zavien Rouhana ran a time of 18:05.03 in the 5,000 meter to place 5th overall. Just two weeks ago, Rouhana placed 2nd in the 10,000 meter which also counted toward the Region III Championships.
Avery Palumbo also led the way by competing in the 400 meter hurdles. He broke his own school record yet again and recorded a time of 1:01.00, good for 3rd place.
Charles Larrabee placed 6th or better in all of his events. He ran 11.70 seconds in the 100 meter for a 5th place finish and ran 24.01 seconds in the 200 meter for a 6th place finish. He was also a member of the 4x100 meter relay team that placed 3rd overall and the 4x400 meter relay team that placed 4th overall.
Also running in the 4x100 were Yuri Brich, Lucas McPeak, and Braeden Goerlich. Also running in the 4x400 were Palumbo, Ya'Siin Bacchas, and Nevan Doubleday.
Doubleday and David Akulis also secured top-6 finishes with their performances in the high jump. Doubleday jumped 1.68 meters and earned 5th place while Akulis jumped 1.73 meters and took 4th place.
Goerlich took 6th place in the 100 meter with a time of 11.77 seconds. Jacob Quail took 7th place in the 800 meter with a time of 2:31.32.
The Hornets finished 6th out of six teams in the meet, but were just three points behind 5th place and five points behind 4th place.
